Millennium Development Goals

The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)are eight goals for reducing human suffering through development by 2015. The goals which reflect a global consensus are a roadmap toward a world free from the suffering caused by extreme poverty.
Since 2007 the Vestry has committed 0.07% of the parish's operating budget to the MDGs. One year we supported the work of Potters for Peace, last year we bought mosquito nets for the prevention of malaria and this year we plan to double our financial impact by participating in Episcopal Relief and Development matching gift program.
Join us on Sunday November 22, in the kitchen after the 11 a.m. Holy Eucharist to discuss how we wish to allocate this year's gift.
We will be making selections from the Gifts for Life catalogue. Shall we give a garden or an ark (ducks, goats, cows) or more nets or what???
